SynopsisThe dramatic conclusion to the Experiment in Terror Series.
Perry Palomino and Dex Foray.
On their own, they’re uniquely brilliant. Together, they’re an unstoppable team.
Until now.
Because after everything the duo has encountered, they haven’t come across an evil quite like this. An evil that has been years in the making, an evil that will stop at nothing until they, and everyone they care for, are destroyed.
Dex and Perry’s love has survived a multitude of sins.
But can it survive the end?

Review-001

Rebecca:

“I love you absolutely, resolutely. There is no question, no doubt. This love just is. It exists and it exists, I exists.”

Around a year and half ago, I read my first Karina Halle book, Sins and Needles. I became obsessed with her writing style and had to read everything she had written to that point. The first place I started was this book called Darkhouse (EIT#1). This series quickly turned into an addiction. I would read through the day and night, ignoring my mother/wife duties. I didn’t just read these books, I lived them. So, I somewhat dreaded the final installment. How can you say good-bye to a couple that you feel know personally? Why couldn’t this have 30 books? Well, I should have never doubted this amazing lady for one minute. Dust to Dust not only met but EXCEEDED every expectation I harbored for months. It has been a phenomenal ride and I have relished every singly movement. It is unique – there is NO other series like it.

Dust to Dust begins immediately where Ashes to Ashes (EIT #8) left us dangling on the edge. There is nonstop action from the first page. I laughed a lot and cried like a baby. Of course, it wouldn’t be EIT if I weren’t scared out of my mind on more than one occasion. This book has it all! Happily, both Perry and Dex have POVs throughout the book. There is no other “hero” like Dex Foray. He is in a category all his own.

“I don’t mind being called a dick. Why not highlight my best feature, right?”

Perry has undergone such an amazing transformation since the early book of the series. She is flawed but she is amazing strong and resilient. She has intense relationships with Dex, her sister, her friends, and parents. I enjoy seeing her relationship with Max in this book. He finally becomes the real friend that she needed. She loves immensely and her devotion is something we want and need in our own lives. This final book is definitely her best and I love seeing her come full circle.
