Jeremiah Copeland and Daly Edwards have a history. Even though he grew up a criminal struggling to care for two younger siblings, and she’s the pampered daughter of a power-hungry senator, they formed a bond that nothing could break. Only a lack of trust ripped them apart.
Seven years later, Daly has reason to believe that Jeremiah’s brother is in trouble. She reaches out to Jeremiah the only way she knows how: at his BDSM club, The Underground. But one look ignites a heat she thought had cooled forever. As Jeremiah takes control of her body once again, Daly quickly loses control of her carefully rebuilt world. Too much has never been enough between them, and as danger swirls in the shadows, Jeremiah forces Daly to recognize what has never changed: She still loves him. His command is that she return her heart—and he will make her obey.

“It’s only ever been you, Day. My beginning and my end, my everything.”
This book is smoking hot. While there are great sex scenes, there is also a lot of depth and emotional ties between Jeremiah and Daly. When the story begins, they haven’t talked to each other in three years, but it’s obvious they are still very much in love/lust with one another. Most of their backstory is learned from current dialogue and forms of flashbacks. It worked really well for this story. I am always a sucker for a bad boy with a soul – Jeremiah definitely fits the bill. Daly was likable and not the whiny heroine that is often seen in this genre.
I wanted the ending to be a tad longer but it didn’t really detract from the overall story. Hopefully there will be another book featuring Toby and Ruthie. There has to be some hidden history in that story!
I am a HUGE fan of Lea’s No Mercy Series and was really excited to read another genre from her writings. I would recommend this book to anyone who is enjoys erotic romance!
Lea Griffith began sneaking to read her mother’s romance novels at a very young age. She cut her teeth on the greats: McNaught, Woodiwiss and Garwood. As she got older, her need to devour all genres of romance–including contemporary, paranormal and sci/fi–grew. Any romance novels she couldn’t buy were borrowed or traded in her quest to read about that elemental emotion that keeps us strong: love. She still has most of those books; dog-eared, their pages yellowed with age, they still bring her joy.
Lea lives with her husband and three teenage daughters in rural Georgia and she writes her own stories now. With two dogs, a cat and a beta fish named Coddy George, there is never a dull moment. When she’s not working her day job you can usually find Lea at her keyboard, using every spare second to write. Shifters, artificial intelligence, and gene splicing, oh my! Nothing is off-limits when it comes to her writing.
